ABOUT THE COURSE  

  • Title - SQF Overview/ Refresher for the Storage & Distribution SQFP (Customized) 

  • Course Code - FSL2-11BL 

  • Learner Level* - Level #2 (Refresher) 

  • Delivery - Blended Course Delivery [2 x Live, Instructor-Led Sessions (2 hours each) + Online Activities (1 hour) + Final Test (1 hour)] 

  • Duration** - Minimum five (5) hours of participant contact time.  

  • Offering - Customized Course Only. (Closed to the public) 

  • Cost/ Fees - To be determined based on client needs and the Client Service Agreement.

*Learner Level is defined by our Continuing Education & Training (CET) Team.

EVENT OBJECTIVE

By the end of this event, participants will be able to: 

  • Identify the SQF Code Edition 9 sections and associate key content placement (layout). 

  • Identify the SQF Code requirements that are designated as “Mandatory” for Storage & Distribution. 

  • Identify 4 key changes to the code when compared to the previous edition that will directly impact their food safety program.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

  • Storage & Distribution SQF Practitioner 

  • SQF/ HACCP Team members 

  • Supervisory/ Management level responsibility and authority. 

  • Individuals interested in improving the safety of their products. 

  • Individuals interested in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a Food Safety Program based on SQF requirements in Edition 9. 

  • Individuals seeking to understand SQF Edition 9. 

 

PREREQUISITES

  • Completed an introductory course on SQF requirements from a reputable training provider (approx. 5-7 hours contact time). 

  • Completed a minimum of 6 months hands-on experience as a member of the facility’s Food Safety Team. 

  • Have a working knowledge of the facility’s Food Safety System. 

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Links to information from regulatory agencies.

  • Live, instructor-led, remote session.

  • Online activities to check learning progress.

  • Feedback on learning progress from the instructor and via results of online activities.

  • Support for technical or other questions.

 

ESTIMATED TOTAL PARTICIPANT’S TIME 

  • Approx. 5-6 hours

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION CRITERIA

  • At least 80% attendance of instructor-led session(s).

  • Completion of all mandatory online activities.

  • Minimum 80% on final quiz. Two (2) attempts allowed (while access is available). If unsuccessful after the first attempt, you are allowed one (1) additional attempt at achieving the passing score. 

  • Acceptance and compliance with Onazry policies.

  • Completion of online activities before access expires.

    • Note: Online access will expire 14 calendar days after day 1 of the course.

 

ONAZRY CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS (CEUS) 

  • We have assigned this course a value of 0.5 Onazry CEUs

  • Presenters are experienced, trained, qualified, subject matter experts.

FIRST TIME ONLINE COURSE USER?

Online Account Set-up & Maintenance Requirements

  • Each participant will be provided with unique user information which is to be used to access the course online.

  • Participants are required to provide an email address. Those individuals without an email address will be provided with their user information through their Supervisor.

  • Accounts expire upon completion of the established duration for the course. After the course duration has passed, if you have not successfully completed the course, you will be required to re-register and pay for the course.

  • A computer will be required.

  • Reliable internet connection will improve your experience.
